Hayley Orrantia, the American actor, singer and songwriter. Most people recognise the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. However, she considers herself mostly a musician. Music is her first love she maintains; it is something that she started dabbling into when she was just nine years old. The first time she began to study professional music when she was twelve. After experimenting with songwriting, she only recorded her album of songs at age 14. It has been non-stop since then. Orrantia is a native American who has Hispanic roots. While she grew up with exclusively English and has never lived in Mexico she's very happy about her Hispanic culture. To preserve the heritage, she is learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs using the language. She recorded the Spanish version of a track, titled 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was picked to perform for The X Factor's first season during the summer of 2011. Orrantia was the winner of the initial season of The X-Factor after she submitted an YouTube performance video. The judge gave her four "yes" votes of the judge in the live stage show in Seattle. The first time she auditioned, she was performing as a solo artist, however following "Hollywood Week" and three other female performers were placed in groups to take part in the auditions. The live performances were held in the 5th week.
