Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer, and songwriter for many years. Her mother raised her in the USA and she was subject to numerous racial slurs that made her feel like a non-person. When she attended a 9th grade school audition where she received praises for her voice, she started to build confidence. This not only increased her confidence, but also her goals transformed. The 22-year-old graduated with an education from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both major breakthroughs. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the part of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot winning not just her the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Following that she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended show. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
